The Regional Cooperative Union Sliven is part of the Central Cooperative Union.

The Central Cooperative Union was established in 1947.

It is a national alliance of voluntary united cooperative unions and through them consumer and other cooperatives which, on the basis of cooperative principles and values, support their organizational, financial and economic development and carry out commercial activity in their mutual interest and in the interests of their members.

The Central Cooperative Union unites and defends the interests of 119,630 member cooperatives, united in 690 cooperatives, members of 29 cooperative unions.
